Life Groups

A Group?

Life Groups meet every third Friday of the month in a home setting where burdens are shared, healing takes place and empowerment for living & serving is experienced. It is our heartfelt desire to see this happen in your life as you get connected with one of our amazing life-giving groups!

Therefore, our Life Groups are designed for you to connect AND grow . . . closer to each other, and closer to God. There is also the added feature of food, fun & fellowship as Life groups engage in different fun activities - anything from a cook out to a holiday dinner!

Become A Group Host.

We're always looking for people eager to host a Life Group. Hosting a Life Group simply means opening your home for a Life Group to gather. Every Life Group has a group leader who facilitates and leads the group. By opening up your home and hosting alongside a Life Group leader, we make it about walking in Jesus, and serving others by giving people spaces to connect. Our Life Groups are attended by people who call The Sword their home and hosting a Life Group is simpler than you might think!

FAQs

  • Though each group differs in how they do things, many groups have social time in the beginning,
    then they transition to group discussions or Bible study, and then they spend time praying
    for each other and sharing refreshments.

  • Yes, all of our groups are “open” groups. You can visit or join at any time.

  • They are offered seasonally, those seasons are summer, fall, winter and spring. Each season
    lasts 8 weeks and we have breaks in between to allow our facilitators time to rest and plan for the
    next group season.

  • We encourage inviting non-believers or people in search of a home church. This allows opportunities for salvations and connecting people with Sword of The Spirit.

  • Groups use a platform called church center, if there is a reason you cannot attend or no longer
    decide to participate, you are able to leave a group.
